Car accident related injuries can be numerous, and most can heal with appropriate and timely timely care, but some injuries can remain hidden. Finding the main pain generator and determining what is actually injured is a must, as these are the types of injuries that will require the need of future medical expenses.  An MRI image doesn’t always capture the patients injury as there are many technical parameters to capturing the image itself and it doesn’t provide dynamic data. It doesn’t show, quantify the inner workings of the body.

This is true of neuromuscular problems, a problem with the way the nerve communicates and controls the muscle, and thus the surrounding anatomical architecture. Objectifying an auto accident related injury can be difficult, especially if the right technology is not being used.  DynROM is able to show an injury when the MRI has failed the problem.

DynaROM Can Show What An MRI Cannot

An MRI is a very impressive technological advancement in medicine, but it is not the be all end all of determining what is wrong with a person. The DynaROM is not only able to digitally quantify range of motion, but it also determines what the muscle is doing while it is contracting and relaxing, the quality of motion, measured in microvolts. This is important as there can be an injury to the muscle that doesn’t show with traditional imaging. This is achieved with surface electromyography. The data gathered from surface electromyography can be compared to normal, non-painful individuals. Abnormal electromyography data indicates an injury to the muscle that will not show on an MRI scan.
